We all have the problem of dwelling on the tasks that we need to finish in time. It's just so hard to stay put at your study area and actually get any work done. Here we have some tips and tricks to spice up your study area and help you be more productive;

1. De-clutter your study space

A messy room is a messy mind.

One of the reasons why we tend to procrastinate is that our study area is just too cluttered and messy! Spare yourself 10 minutes each day to organize and clear up your study space. This way, you will be more motivated to actually sit down at your clean and organized table to get something done.

using mason jars to store your stationaries is a cute way to stay organized!

2. Your study plan

Placing your study plan or weekly goals displayed on your desk/wall can act as a visual reminder for you to help you stick to your plans and finish those tasks in time. You may cross out or tick off the things that you have completed so that you can visually envisage your progress. It also helps you stick to your plan whenever you fell like procrastinating.

3. Motivational quotes and pictures

Studying and completing all those assignments can be pretty stressful especially with all those deadlines and exams. Keeping a positive mindset is the most long-term strategy. A great way to instill positivity is by sticking some motivational quotes and pictures on the wall or have some displayed on your desk.

Choose pictures or quotes that helps boosts your motivation such as quotes about determination or perseverance. Putting up pictures of the people who mean the most to you such as family or friends is also a great reminder to keep you going whenever you feel like quitting. Any pictures that inspire you to work hard and study smart would be a great idea!

4. Create a comfortable learning environment

Adequate lighting is essential since it can directly affect your performance. Natural lighting is more preferable as it makes you feel more energized and awake, and that you will have the motivation to complete everything before evening. You can also opt for a study lamp if a natural light source is not available. One tip is to place the study lamp on your left hand side if you are right handed so that the light wont be blocked by your writing hand.

5. DIY Planner Board

Planning out your tasks can be rather difficult especially if you are a university student as you have so many more commitments. Having everything in front of you at a glance helps you to organize your time better and stay on track even with your hectic schedule.

These planner boards can be personalized as it is a DIY project so feel free to decorate and follow your own system that suits you best. Monthly or weekly planner boards give you a better picture of your schedule ahead.
